“Third Floor Studio” won the Pastel Society of America and the Pastel Journal awards at the Pastel Society of New Mexico Sixteenth Annual National Pastel Painting Exhibition held November 2-25, 2007 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The jurors were Alan Flattman Paula Lawson and Maggie Muchmore. The judge was Duane Wakeham.


William A. Schneider's painting, "Spring Grandeur" won second place in the Floral division of The Richeson 75: Artist's Choice Competiton held from January 20 through February 22, 2008 in Kimberly Wisconsin. The juror of awards was Sam Adoquei.

William A. Schneider's painting "Springtime" won first place in the third annual Portrait Society of America Members Only Competition, Taking It Outside: The Figure in an Outdoor Environment. "Springtime has been invited to be on display at the 2008 The Art of the Portrait Conference in Philadelphia, PA, April 10-13, 2008. The judge of awards was Edward Jonas.
